BioImagene
iScan Coreo
High Quality – Superior Performance
The iScan Coreo is BioImagene’s second generation brightfield scanner, with the same 160-slide capacity as the iScan 2.0. The system has many novel features to assist pathologists and lab technicians with their daily workflow. The iScan Coreo has an automated turret that supports four objectives (4X, 10X, 20X, and 40X). The iScan Coreo supports scanning slides with any of the four objectives. The iScan Coreo also supports a volume scan, whereby a pathologist can view a slide in three dimensions (including the depth of tissue), which in turn improves diagnostic capability. iScan Coreo Live is a telepathology feature of the iScan Coreo, which enables pathologists to remotely control the iScan system, just as they would a microscope, allowing them to review a slide without having to scan it first.
Features
- Auto-turret with 4 objectives (4X, 10X, 20X, and 40X)
- Small footprint
- Live telepathology mode
- Volume scanning (z-stacking)
- Ability to read 1D and 2D barcodes
- Ability to anonymize slides by hiding slide label information in thumbnails and scans
Benefits
- Pathologist can have the slide imaged at the objective they choose, thereby saving time
- Minimizes requirement for bench space, which is a premium in labs
- Ability to have a microscopic like interface by having all objectives in one turret
- Pathologists can view slides just as they would under a microscope, through the iScan Coreo Live Mode application
- Pathologists can view the different Z planes of a cell just as they would under a microscope
- 1D and 2D barcode reading provides a tighter integration to laboratory workflow, preventing errors in manual entry
- Easy slide loading. The scanner holds 8 Sakura staining baskets which eliminates a workflow step for the histotechnician
