| | HM560 Research Cryostat
 THE MICROM
HM560 Incorporates a unique refrigeration system:
specimen and knife have separate refrigeration systems and
may be set to -50°C and -35°C respectively. Easily
programmable temperature setting for sectioning different
tissues. The automatic micro/macro feed system is outside
the freezing chamber and guarantees the highest precision
and flexibility – from 0.5 microns to 500 microns. Due to
the expanded horizontal feed of 40.000 µm, applications in
routine and research are possible.
The design of the cooling chamber and of the innovative
magnetic knife holder permits simplified cleaning and
disinfection. Switching between disposable and steel knives
is now possible without purchasing different knife holders.
